Our Rebuild/Refurbish Projects
QRK 17-B (Spring 2010)
Thanks to Brett Saunders of San Francisco, California for entrusting us with this beauty to rebuild! This is a massive QRK 17-B (probably from the late-1950’s or early-1960’s). The platter measures 17″ across, and was designed primarily for playing transcription discs. It was originally in service for decades at Stanford, CA University campus radio station KZSU 90.1 FM. Brett aquired it, and shipped it to our shop in Jonesboro, AR to be refurbished. Brett did not want the base re-painted, but he did request new felt on the platter. 750ドルで安かっったのと、
今まで、QRKの17インチは、見たことがなかたのと、
まあ、いろいろ理由はありますが、
シャーマン戦車みたいなmassiveな感じに一目惚れして、社長の知人のアメリカ在住の方に頼んで、eBayでゲットしゃちゃいました。




気づいたら、16インチ、17インチが3つも。
う〜〜〜ン。
